I only spend an average of 2-3 hours per day on my phone, so why would I want this app? Because it's cute! And my bean loves to knit as much as I do! I'm a workaholic, so I actually use the focus timer as a reminder to take a break from my work. I like being reminded to look at my phone (and away from my work!) so I can decorate my bean's home and take a moment to let my brain relax. My screen time hasn't noticeably changed, but I have been taking more breaks from work, so thanks, Focus Friend!

I love it for sleeping, just getting off my phone for a few minutes in between activities to clear my mind and reading. I wish there was a black cat bean for Halloween, and different music (maybe for sleeping?), and I heard talk about more rooms which would be cool. focus house that timers built. oh, longer timers? but, it's really great so far, and I'm really pleased with it.

edited review - please check my edit history if you want. I no longer use for how cute the concept was, however it does remind me to do the things I used it for. I mostly like how it can keep phone awake if you have that setting on, so i'll use it. They have a lot of good functions for their decorations. I only feel iffy when I see their own pop-up ad because I think the payment stuff was already in an accessible place if you were interested. The more I see it, the more frustrating it can be.

I love this little app! It is the perfect incentive to leave my phone alone while I'm focused on other things. One of the best uses so far has been setting it for 15-30 minutes when I'm crawling in bed. It helps me not pick up my phone and do all the last-minute things I think of and then end up distracted and awake until 2:00 am. I get to settle well and still have my phone at arms reach when I wake up or if there is an emergency.

Very good experience overall. Good privacy - this does mean that if you delete the app your progress will actually be gone. They're not harvesting your data. That's a good thing, but I saw some people were confused by it. Please add the option to unlock the second room with money instead of socks. I would happily pay you £5 for that. I like that all the main functions are free but there are options to pay if you can and want to.

very cute! I really appreciate the lack of adds (which I feel like would keep you in the app longer, effectively going against what the apps purpose is, so thank you for that!) This app has drastically cut down on my scrolling and checking, though I wish the second room had more lower cost decorations. I saved up for it without finishing the first room out of excitement, and immediately became unmotivated to continue due to the high prices

it's a cute app that is exactly as advertised. there are no ads, and it's very simple to use. what i don't like is the extremely expensive in game purchases that it pushes, and the fact that this makes me have to check my phone to start a focus period. it would be nice if there was a way to set it up so it rewards you for simply not using your phone during a set timeframe like work hours instead of needing to use your phone to set it up. decent app, I'm just not addicted enough to need it.

bean absolutely loving this game(?). It's been helping me focus as intended and setting little goals for myself like "next decoration I get should be that little poster". I do have some suggestions though. I think the decorating would feel a little more rewarding if there was a few more low-cost options. I've bought pretty much all the low-cost decorations I that I like and when I finally bought a bookstand, I immediately had to start from square one again. I know it's new but that would be nice

It's really good in theory, but not so much in practice. Unfortunately, without paying for the full app, it doesn't serve its purpose all that well. The Deep focus option makes it so it can actually tell if I am on another app, the problem is, without paying you can't allow any apps to function while you have a focus timer on. If an alarm goes off, its a fight. if Deep Focus isn't on, you can just use your phone normally, even if you have a focus timer on.

I love the app so far. I would really love to have a widget! I think it would be so cute to see my bean and his home and would motivate me. also I would love a dragon bean costume. the rate that the bean makes socks in the free version is slow enough that I don't get rewarded overly fast and thus I keep coming back to use it. it would be good if the paid version allowed you to set the rate to be slower rather than 3x. adding an adjustable range would be nice.

I'd been searching for a focus app desperately and then, like magic, I find out one of my favorite celebrities has made an app for EXACTLY my needs. I'm a knitter. Destroying knitting? Unfathomable. I will protect this bean's knitting at all costs. Which is why this app is PERFECT. 11/10. Bless you, Hank. Thanks! Edit: I do wish we could change the wallpaper and flooring colors in our rooms. 💜
